Visiting Yachts

As you head into the sheltered waters of the inner harbour, Falmouth Haven lies to the south west.

It is a perfect location for departing to or returning from transatlantic sailing adventures, as a cruising port en route to France, Ireland or the Isles of Scilly – not to mention simply cove-hopping along the scenic Cornish coastline to Fowey or the Helford. In short, our position is tailor-made for cruising sailors, as well as providing a safe port in almost all wind and weather.

And if you are unlucky enough to be storm bound, there are few better places to be held captive than here… Falmouth Haven is flanked by Events Square on one side – home to numerous bars and restaurants and a major supermarket, as well as the National Maritime Museum Cornwall – and the start of the bustling and winding main street on the other, with seemingly endless shops and art galleries, including a good selection of handy retailers for sailors. Check our Falmouth Guide for more information.

For those visiting us we have four products available, each boasting a prime location between the water and the lively town centre with gated access.

  • Our visitors’ marina is conveniently located close to the town centre and has gated access.
  • We have 22 deep water visitors’ moorings which are easily accessible at all states of the tide.
  • If you’re looking to stay a little longer then consider one of our fantastic Premium Visitors’ Moorings which come complete with a free water taxi service and a tender space on our tender pontoon.
  • Small craft may wish to utilise our anchorage area, located between Custom House Quay and Falmouth Docks.

We are able to accommodate any craft up to 16m in length on our visitors’ marina and ask that you are aware that during busy times rafting up is customary, so please find a berth and introduce yourself to your new neighbours. Each of the above also comes with access to our amenities, which combine convenience and hospitality with maritime excellence including; showers, Wi-Fi, a laundry room, our complimentary  Falmouth Havencard and mail handling services.
